I'm a marketing and media leader with nearly two decades of experience spanning media agencies, consulting, and in‑house transformation. I began my career in 2007 within leading media agencies, progressing from planning and buying into digital strategy and client leadership roles, working across major brands including O2, Warner Bros, and Kellogg's. From 2019 to 2023, I worked at Capgemini as a Marketing Transformation Management Consultant, partnering with global organisations such as Unilever to design and implement data‑led marketing and operating model transformations. Since 2023, I've been at Vodafone, where I lead in‑house media teams across search, programmatic, and wider performance disciplines, focusing on driving effectiveness, scale, and closer integration between media, data, partners and the business.
The industry is in its agentic era, as hype grows around autonomous AI capable of executing almost every part of complex, cross-channel campaigns. While this promises unprecedented scale and efficiency, the 'agentic everything' approach can be dangerous for the hands-on buyer. Passing over all the reins to an agent can mean losing visibility and control over where their budget actually goes.
