This is our first time sponsoring Programmatic Pioneers Summit. The reason we chose to sponsor this year, is because we scoped out the best events that were relevant for us. After having an initial conversation, it naturally made sense to explore opportunities with PPS. We had some internal discussions, and decided sponsoring was the right move for us.
Whilst being here, our CEO did a fireside chat session, which left everyone buzzing. This helped bring people to our booth, as they recognized us from the session, and everyone was really interested in the topic discussed. This meant we were further down the line in conversation when delegates stopped by our booth, as they had learnt more about us already – which has made it a great natural way of networking!
Attending the sessions ourselves was also a great eye opener for a lot of the conversations we have been having as a business, but also opening our eyes to what others are doing in the industry. one of the biggest topics here is in-housing programmatically, which has definitely been a hot topic for us when speaking to people.
The caliber of attendees on site have been fantastic, everyone we have spoken to are very much who we came for. From a Hybrid Theory perspective, the main objective of sponsoring PPS was to generate leads for us in terms of contacts – which has been successful. It has been great to meet such senior attendees directly. Sponsoring Programmatic Pioneers Summit has put us in the room with the right people, which is very important.
The setup of the event has also been helpful, as you pass through the sponsor exhibition hall to get to both the main plenary and the exit. Being held at a big venue, it has still been quite intimate. Another nice aspect of the conference was the evening dinner and drinks, which my colleagues attended. This created a more relaxed space for networking, even with business aside. Because of all the interesting topics discussed, everyone wanted to chat about the day, which created great space for conversation.
Sponsoring PPS will definitely have a positive impact on our 2022 business goals, particularly for brand awareness. When you look at Hybrid Theory, not many people know what we do. Sponsoring events and aligning with clients that are relevant is very important. What goes hand in hand with that is making sure that there's an ROI. When we come to review our success at the event, we can say “We have come out with 30 new contacts that we would never have done previously." Or, we would have to scour countless amount of LinkedIn or other data capture just to get these qualified leads.
That's the best part about meeting delegates, we can qualify them at the same time, if they are actually interested in working with us. This goes hand in hand with another business goal we have, which is moving away from agency focus and going towards more brand direct business.
It will definitely be important for Hybrid Theory to attend in the future, as we’ve have had a great experience here, and I have received lots of good feedback from my team. Next time, some of my internal feedback would be needing even more of the team on site. There has been four of us on site, and in terms of the amount of people that we've spoken to and networked with, I think it's been really fulfilling. If we had had an extra two people, what would that look like?
We had a conversation beforehand that “If this goes well, and the team are happy with the outcome, we will definitely consider attending the connect event in November”, which we will be 100% looking into following our success at PPS.
